Werlin Reading Day. It will change both your lives. Forever.

Thanks for your interest in becoming a Werlin Tutor. We hope this website will show you how easy and fun it is to help a child learn to read and how valuable it is for these children to have a mentor like you in their lives.

Your commitment is 45 minutes a week from October till June. Your reward is the fun you’ll have watching their lives change forever. We’d love to have you. And so will your new little friend.

Last year we had 500 volunteer tutors helping kids learn to read. With your help we can say yes to every child that needs a tutor.

The Franciscan Foundation, part of Franciscan Health System, has helped Werlin with fundraising ever since the Sisters of St. Francis got involved with Werlin in 1988. In the spirit of Franciscan's focus on community health and outreach to the community, the Foundation oversees all grants and gifts to Werlin, making sure that one hundred percent of dollars donated to the program go directly to Werlin to provide services for children.

Werlin needs and welcomes donations of all sizes to help continue the valuable work of tutoring and mentoring kids.
